Where can I volunteer or work abroad and learn spanish?
YoungLady asked:
I’m going to be graduating in December, hopefully, and I want to volunteer or work abroad and learn spanish while doing it. I understand a lot of spanish, but can hardly speak it. I was thinking of the peace corps, but that is a very long commitment. I want to go for about a year if that is at all possible. Anyone have any ideas?
Graduating from college with a bachelors in communication…
Anyone have any good ideas?

What you should is pack a shiv and head “abroad” to TIJUANA.
Or you could also run drugs for a living*

You could go lots of places to learn spanish. I would check out a local church and see if they are sending any mission teams to Latin America. Some teams only go for two weeks and some go longer. Also you could check out the local red cross. Some medical teams need helpers in foreign country’s.

VSO
(Based in the UK, takes volunteers from anywhere, has a six-month “programme” for people 18 - 25) I knew VSO’s when I was in the Peace Corps 30 years ago. They are a solid, well-known organization.
