The best way is to get a Hispanic friend. Hang out with her all the time and preferably with her when she’s with a group of people speaking Spanish such as her family or Hispanic friends. I had two Hispanic nannies and I learned more Spanish from them than in school.
One of the women was from Peru and we used to visit her niece who had her own family. I learned best when listening to them all talk among each other. The other girl was Colombian and she could explain things to me such as the difference between “mira” and “buscar”. (”Mira” is to get someone to look at something, like “look at that!” and “buscar” means to search, such as “look for my keys”.

Go live with a Spanish/English speaking family. You will be able to pick it up quicker and easier.

It’s a boy isn’t it? Whatever your reason I say watch Spanish TV. Their soap operas are really good and pretty easy to fallow. I am trying to teach my Friend Spanish and I have her watch “La Fea Mas Bella”. That mean the ugly most beautiful. The girl is ugly on the outside but the most beautiful person on the in. Anyway she likes it and is leaning because of the body language that helps to learn as well. Good Luck.

there are lot’s of cd’s and stuff you can buy that teach you different languages pretty quick.

the fastest way is to put yourself in a situation in which you are forced to interact with spanish people… yeah it will be hard at first you will have to use alot of body and fake sign language but it works… my friend when she came to this country (USA) we refused to speak to her in any other language but english and she was fluent in just 3 months so its works.
